Michael van de Leur was born in 1954. A law graduate of Leiden University in 1980, he was a Customse and Excise tax inspector before joining Loyens & Volkmaars in 1984, becoming a partner in 1991.

John Seerden was born in 1971. He was a VAT inspector at the tax office in Utrecht from 2003 until 2011. In this capacity, he was tax inspector for tax firms and notary offices regarding RETT/Stamp duty (overdrachtsbelasting) and related subjects.
