As a general tax advisor at VanVelzen Accountants & Adviseurs in Warmond, I discovered my interest in VAT. Gradually changing my role to that of VAT advisor was a natural step. Because there was no VAT specialist working at VanVelzen, I decided to join the LENOS professional consultations. The warm welcome and encouragement to share interesting issues and comments made for a pleasant introduction. Even after my transfer to the VAT team at BDO Amstelveen – where I ended up thanks to the advice and support of Toon Hasselman – I still like to attend the weekly ‘consultation hours’ on Monday afternoon.
